Christmas

Hi everyone!
Time has flown by and I just can't seem to be able to keep up. Thanksgiving was fun and yummy. Now that Christmas is on it's way our family just can't wait. It's our favorite season. Doing service for others and making baked goods. The surprise of Santa and wrapped gifts under the tree. It's a magical season that warms our home with such happiness. Hope that your Christmas season if full of smiles and giggles. And perhaps even some surprises!! Happy holidays to everyone. Much love to all of you from the Belnap's.

Grateful

Hi everyone! Well another successful trip to Primary Children's hospital. The doctors there always have lots to say and things to try for Brie. However, this trip was successful because there wasn't anything "new wrong" and that is a blessing. She's a bit skinny but that is just how Brie is. Whew! We also visited Brie's friend Lauryn that was at the hospital at the time. She's a doll and we all just love her so much. I am just so grateful to have Brie and my other girls. They are such a joy in my life...even if they tire me out all the time.

Family

My kids are growing so quickly. I can't believe that Alexis will be 12!!! on the 4th of Aug. She'll be in mutual. That makes me kinda old....I think. Maci is busy opening every drawer. Making mommy's work much busier then it used to be. Brie is as sweet as ever, like she always is. However, she fell out of her bed and gave herself a pretty good black eye. Taya is Taya. Always joking, bugging her older sister and making all of us laugh. Well....life just carries on. Doesn't it?!! I love my family so much. I/we are so blessed to have the wonderful children that we do have. They make life much more exciting. It wouldn't be the same without them.

Memerable fun!

I have so many memories with the upcoming 4th of July. Picnics in Tauphaus Park with all of the Browning group. (which really only happened once a year) I remember listening to Uncle George singing and playing his mandalin. All of us kids playing together and eating the most spectacular food!! Parades.....FIREWORKS. Andrew sticking a sparkler in his hair and burning his hair. Hee Hee. Most importantly...my Dad sharing his stories of WWII and what freedom should mean to us. How to be a proud American and how to support our country. As the years progressed I remember parties with friends. Going water-skiing all day and then fireworks to end the night. Now that I am a mom of my own kids. We are creating memories of our own. I just hope that my girls think that they were good ones. Here are a couple of pictures that I took (not good ones at that) to show how much fun we were having. So.....Tell me what kind of fun do you plan on having? We want to have a barbeque, sleep out on the trampoline or tent it. Maybe go to the zoo or play some night games....like hide-n-seek. Whatever it is you do, I'm sure you'll be making memories that will last a lifetime.

a gift

I was sitting on the floor watching Maci this morning in awe of her. Have you ever really watched what a baby does when they are looking at something for the very first time? They look at the object. Then they pick it up, rolling it around in their hand. Feeling every side of the item. Does it crinkle, is it slippery or if I move it- will it change? Then they put it to their mouth. What does it taste like? Does it even taste? Then Maci looked up at me and smiled. A smile of triumph, a smile of being proud of what she has discovered; a smile of this is new and I get it. Their innocent eyes gleam with excitement and mystery and love. Love. In that very moment I found what will probably be my most fullfilling moment of the day. My daughter is growing, learning, and loving. What came next was the sweetest and most special moment. She walked forward and gave me a kiss and hug and said "Mama". Then she walked off to find the next exciting adventure for the morning. Although the moment truely only lasted a couple minutes.....it was magical.

New great sayings!

I found this saying and really like it....

Forgiveness does not mean the cancellation of all consequences of wrong doing. It means the refusal on God's part to let our guily past affect His relationship with us.  - unknown-

Obstacles are those frightful things You can see when you take your eyes off your goal. -Henry Ford-

As soon as you truly commit to making something happen, the how will reveal itself. - Tony Robbins-

You must have long range goals to keep from being frustrated by the short-term failures. - Bob Bales-

To be successful, you must decide exactly what you want to accomplish, then resolve to pay the price to get it. - Bunker Hunt-

Sometimes life's frustrations get to me and I forget to look for the positive. That is until I read positive quotes like the one's I listed above. It's having the courage to forge ahead that takes the real strength. Forgetting what stands in your way and finding what makes you truly happy.

Maci's Birthday

Maci just turned one!! YA! She just learned how to walk without anyone's help four days before her birthday. Still no teeth however, oh well. She loved all the attention and cousins to play with. There is one cousin in particular that is close in age that she likes to play with. I can't believe that my little baby is already one. My how the time flys. Never did I think I'd have four children and especailly all girls. However, they have been and continue to be such a blessing. I don't know what I would have done with boys.

Silence....what silence

I sit here trying to post an overdue message to my blog and listen to loud decibles of my daughter screaming. AH!!!! This always seems to happen. Screaming when I'm on the phone, crying when it's bedtime; pouting if they don't get what they want and on and on and on. These are the hard moments in motherhood!!! However, I think that the Lord blesses us with some kind of screen because when those screaming moments pass I somehow forget how much I hate it and realize how wonderful they are.

Lots has happened since our last post but I won't bore you with many details. Brie got really sick but she has nearly recovered, WHEW! Maci will be one on the 7th of May.  YA!!  Alexis and Taya are getting sick of school and want to sleep in. (That's not a surprise) Did I mention that Maci is screaming.....lol. Steve is back to work and busy with work and his church calling. And I am busy trying to fill in on everything else. Headaches, bodyaches; chores, and where is the nice weather. Well, life sure can be an adventure. Some times I just feel like all I can do is just hold on and go for the ride. Please tell me all mothers feel like this too!!

What!

I don't know what happened to those pictures. They blew up on the page. Ug! Sorry!
I sometimes wonder why I live in an area that the weather changes soooo much. I do love having all of the seasons, that isn't the problem. The problem is they are unbalanced. Too much wind and cold and not enough sunshine and fall days.

Maci is getting so big now. She looks out the window and watches everything that passes by. And she LOVES FOOD. She'll eat anything. Litereally...paper, pickles, jerkey; yogurt, fish; as long as you let her have some....she'll eat it. Funny girl. Alexis is not a little girl now, so I've been told. 11 almost 12 is crazy. Taya is busy teasing Lexie and trying to be more grown up in her own rite. Both Alexis and Taya are super helpful with the little girls. I am so proud of them for what they do for our family. Brie is plugging along doing the only thing she knows how to do. Be Cute! She loves to watch her movies in her room and playing with Maci (when Maci will let her). Steve is finished with basketball now and is off for another week and then back to work. Life moves so quickly I hardly know have time to watch it pass by. I love my family!!

Oh what fun!

Christmas is my very favorite holiday. We had a lot of fun with each other and with family. Santa came to visit our house this year and that was really exciting. The best times in life are the moments you share with others. We had so much fun with our girls over the Christmas break. We laughed, we baked, we watched movies and we spent time together. Those moments are priceless! We spoke of Jesus Christ and how much He means to us over the holiday season. We feel truley blessed for the many blessings that we have been given, and for the trials too! We hope that your new year will be full of love and special memories!
